CHIROPRACTIC
What is Chiropractic? Chiropractic is a natural, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuro-musculoskeletal system of the body. Chiropractors utilize manual adjusting techniques to help correct spinal and joint malfunctions. Doctors of Chiropractic are specialist who is trained to detect and correct problems in the spine, joints, and soft tissue of the body, often before the patient is even aware they exist.
IS CHIROPRACTIC EFFECTIVE IN ELIMINATING YOUR PAIN?
Research has proven that chiropractic is a safe and effective treatment for joint and muscle pain. The rate of satisfaction from chiropractic patients are one of the highest, if not the highest rates in health care.
According to a study (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11753328), patients rated overall as excellent by 83.3% of responders, and 95.5% stated they would definitely recommend the provider to others.
The effectiveness of treating lower back pain with chiropractic care along with medical care has been proven to provide better outcomes than treating with just medical care by itself (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23060056).
Oftentimes, it’s difficult to understand fully how chiropractic can be beneficial to you until you’ve experienced it yourself. At Meridian, we’re dedicated to educating and empowering our patients, thus we offer free consultations to discuss with the doctor without any cost to you unless you feel chiropractic can help.

WHAT DOES CHIROPRACTIC HELP WITH?
This is the most common issue in the office. Our doctors and their team can easily identify the root source of any neck or back problems and give you the best-personalized treatment plan that can help relieve you of the pain that you are experiencing. A comprehensive exam is performed and x-rays if medically necessary to determine the cause of the pain. The culprit is usually a joint, muscle/ligament, nerve or disc. Once the diagnosis is made, a treatment plan is recommended on how to resolve the problem.
Symptoms
- Numbness/Tingling
- Sharp Pain
- Constant Achiness
- Pain with movement
- Weakness
Whiplash and concussions after an accident are serious injuries that must be evaluated by an experienced provider. Often times, the ER does not perform a comprehensive musculoskeletal exam to determine injuries because their concern is mainly whether you’re facing a life or death situation. When they release you, they will advise you seek a chiropractor for further evaluation of your musculoskeletal pains. Our providers are experienced in detecting injuries sustained from a car accident and will explain to you what is causing the pain you feel. The understanding of the pain and where it comes from is important for full recovery so you don’t cause more damage by doing daily activities that may make the injury worse.
