Postpartum chiropractic.

You took care of baby for nine months. Now let's take care of you. Postpartum chiropractic in Jacksonville and Orange Park.

01 — WHAT IT IS

Your body did something huge. It deserves a plan.

Pregnancy changed your posture, loosened your ligaments, and stretched your core for months. Then the baby arrived, and now you are lifting a car seat, bending over a crib, and feeding for hours with your head down. It is no wonder so many new moms end up with back, neck, and hip pain.

The hormone relaxin that loosened your pelvis for birth does not leave the day you deliver. Your joints can stay looser for months, especially while breastfeeding. That makes the pelvis and low back easier to strain during all the lifting and carrying that comes with a newborn.

Postpartum chiropractic care helps your spine and pelvis settle back into balance, eases the pain, and rebuilds the strength you need for everyday mom life.

— GOOD TO KNOW

When to start

There is no prize for waiting until the pain is bad. After a vaginal birth, many moms come in within the first few weeks once they feel up to leaving the house. After a C-section, we wait until your OB clears you for activity.

We start gently. Early visits focus on easing pain and rebalancing the pelvis. As you heal, we add exercise to rebuild strength.

— COMMON QUESTIONS

Postpartum questions.

How soon after giving birth can I see a chiropractor?
Many moms come in within the first few weeks after a vaginal birth once they feel up to it. After a C-section, we wait until your OB clears you for activity. Either way, we start gently and build from there.
What does postpartum chiropractic help with?
The most common reasons are low back pain, pelvic and hip pain, and neck and upper-back pain from feeding and carrying your baby. We also help moms rebuild core and hip strength so everyday lifting feels easier.
I had a C-section. Is chiropractic safe for me?
Once your OB has cleared you, yes. We keep all pressure away from your incision and use positions that are comfortable for you. Tell us about your surgery at your first visit so we can plan around it.
Will you work on my core and pelvic floor?
We build core, hip, and back strength with guided rehab exercise. If your symptoms point to a pelvic floor problem, such as leaking or pelvic pressure, we will tell you and help you find a pelvic floor specialist.
Is postpartum chiropractic covered by insurance?
It is usually billed like other chiropractic care. Coverage depends on your plan, and our team checks your benefits before your first visit.
